write-from-home.com 2008

by Amy Derby on January 1, 2008

You’ve probably noticed a few changes here at write-from-home.com, the biggest being that I’m in the process of merging the main write-from-home.com site in with the blog. So, for those of you who follow the write-from-home.com blog, you should be getting redirected from the old blog address to the main write-from-home.com page. If you’re an RSS subscriber, you’ll have to change the feed address. (Sorry, I could find no way around this.)

Another change: as of now, I’m no longer accepting new article submissions for write-from-home.com. I get a ton of new submissions and queries, and it’s become the equivalent of a full-time job sorting through them all. Unfortunately, I just don’t have the time to keep up with the submissions anymore. As those of you who’ve gotten to know me personally know, I am working on my own freelance writing/blogging work until about midnight each night (often later), so I just can’t justify spreading myself so thin.

Since the blog has gotten many more readers than the old write-from-home.com site did, I’m hoping this will be a good compromise (at least for those of you not looking to submit articles).

Best wishes to all of you for a happy and prosperous 2008.

Aw, I hate to know there’ll be no more new articles, but I completely understand. I’ve seriously worried about your health many times since I’ve come to know you.

You’ve spread yourself too thin for too long. If this is what it takes to be the best you can be, then feel good about this decision and have the best possible 2008!

Happy New Year!

Smiles,
Michele

Amy,

Though I, too, am disappointed to see the demise of the Write from Home E-zine, like Michele, I understand totally and wish you the best in 2008!

I’m sad to see the end of the e-zine as well but I know you’re moving into bigger and better things. It doesn’t mean the zine won’t return at some point in the future. Who knows, you might get rich and be able to hire a full-time editor for the e-zine. ;-)

Best of luck with the continued blog and the combination site looks fantastic!
