fingerpaintBecause of you

I’ve built a spare room

inside my head,

stocked it with fingerpaint

and sidewalk chalk

just to see

how you would decorate.

This post is part of the lovely Liz’s 25 Words project. Play along?

Yay! I can’t wait to read yours. I thought of you right away, assuming yours will come with a self-made collage of some sort. ;-)

I have an attitude.

Someone needs to give me a good talking to.

But in the meantime, I will continue to be

Very good Friar. Five gold stars for you. :-)

Only longer.

That’s kinda what I thought too. I think it’s just supposed to be a sentence. I wanted to write a limerick, but I’m figuring folks already think I’m crazy enough. :-)

What’s with the awesome memes this week? I already did the book meme and now this? It’s just SOOO tempting! And just in time for Friday’s writing exercise ;)

I know! It’s like meme city around here, isn’t it?

Can’t wait to see what you come up with. :-)

When you do this one make sure to comment on Liz’s post so she can include yours in her project.

I have to try this, but not now… soooo tired….

Kelly, thanks! If you click on the picture it makes it bigger. :-)

Can’t wait to see what you come up with. I’m sure yours will rock.

(P.S., please have your daughter make one too. She SO needs a blog!)

Don’t know if this was intentional, but Kelly’s comment *was* 25 words long. :D

Allison — Damn, you’re right! Kelly is way too clever in the wee hours of the morning.

Oh Kelly……… ;-)

15 Kelly 10.03.08 at 3:07 pm

Srsly? Nope, not clever.

I’d take credit for my brilliance, but it was an accident. Pretty funny—I never write anything in so few words.

Take credit anyway, woman. Yeesh. Dontcha know the first step to internet fame is being brilliant by accident? Have The Great Platitudists of Blogland taught you nothing? ;-)

Now, please wear this crown. LOL

Amy,
Beautiful prose that allows the imagination to run free. I wonder: a room for your inner child; a room for a lover; for thoughts?
Interesting…

Hi Rita — I write in the closet sometimes; sorta like a spare room? SO glad to see you. Are you feeling better?

19 Cath Lawson 10.05.08 at 8:44 am

Amy - this is brilliant - really creative. The project is a fab idea but I worry that the more entries I read, the less likely it will be that I come up with anything original.

Hey Cath — Thanks! And yeah, that’s kinda how I felt about it too. That’s why I did mine right away. I’m excited to see yours… you know… when you write it. :-)

21 Kara 10.05.08 at 8:10 pm

Great one Amy–just came upon the 25 word challenge tonight (thanks to twitter) and I’m on that! I’m strategically taking a shower now because it never fails that I have my greatest ideas underwater (and away from a pen to record them)!

Hey Kara, good to see you! I always have good ideas underwater too. Maybe we can get some underwater pens. :-)
