The Golden Pencil Seeks Guest Bloggers

by Amy Derby on July 11, 2007

Anne Wayman, blogger for The Golden Pencil, put out a call for guest bloggers yesterday. Since her blog is all about freelance writing and is written for freelance writers, guest blogging at The Golden Pencil would be a great opportunity for any freelance writer, especially one who blogs.

Although this isn’t a paying gig, I consider guest blogging to be one of the few exceptions to the “don’t work for free” rule. Guest blogging truly can be a great source of exposure for an aspiring blogger. If you’re already a blogger, guest blogging can attract a whole new batch of readers to your blog.

Anne is offering guest bloggers links to their websites or other contact information. I don’t know Anne personally, but from her post — which says “this would be a good opportunity for you to test the blogging waters” — she sounds very open to new writers/bloggers.

If you’re a freelance writer who blogs, or you’d like to, and you’re interested in guest blogging for The Golden Pencil, visit: http://www.thegoldenpencil.com/2007/07/10/i-want-some-guest-bloggers/
